背面描述 A large double-headed imperial eagle displayed in the field, with both heads crowned and surmounted by a single imperial crown above, the breast bearing the Habsburg orb or shield. The eagle's wings are spread and its talons are visible at the base, rendered in fine detail with feathering clearly articulated. The surrounding circular Latin legend names the Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand II, reading continuously around the coin's periphery within a beaded border.

附加信息

Ulm issued this thaler in 1635 — one of the most catastrophic years of the Thirty Years' War, coming just four years after Imperial and League forces sacked Magdeburg and killed roughly 20,000 of its inhabitants. Ulm itself had shifted allegiances with considerable anxiety throughout the conflict, and municipal coinages from this period often reflect civic authorities asserting local financial continuity under extreme duress.

Ferdinand II died in February 1637, making issues struck in his name after roughly 1635 relatively short-lived in production terms. KM#49 places this among a tight cluster of Ulm thalers from the final years of his reign.
