A mintmaster's mark appears at the base of the shield. The surrounding Latin legend DVX·BVRGVND:·COMES·TYROLIS runs between an inner beaded border and the outer milled edge, identifying Ferdinand Charles as Duke of Burgundy and Count of Tyrol.
