Obverse description Elaborate quartered shield of arms of Brunswick-Lüneburg, surmounted by five ornate crescent-crowned helmets with elaborate mantling, the central helmet bearing the ducal crown as crest. The shield displays the traditional quarterings including rampant lions, a rose, and a horse passant at base, with the mint-master initials H-B flanking the shield. The circular Latin legend runs along the beaded border.
