| Reverse description | Elaborately quartered coat of arms of the Este dynasty, incorporating the heraldic emblems of Modena, Reggio, and associated territories, displayed on a large shield flanked on either side by military trophies including flags, a cannon, and other martial accoutrements. The shield is surmounted by a large ducal crown with fleurs-de-lis. The circumferential Latin legend DEXTERA · DOMINI EXALTAVIT.ME· is divided around the central device, with the date 1796 incorporated into the legend. |
