Reverse description The reverse displays a large double-headed imperial eagle occupying the central field, its wings spread and each head surmounted by a crown, with the orb and cross sceptre visible on the breast shield. Above the eagle is an imperial crown. The circumferential Latin legend, separated by star-shaped stops, reads as a devotional invocation for peace. The field retains the flat, slightly irregular surface typical of hammered coinage of the period, with a beaded or dentilated border encircling the entire design.
