Obverse description Two oval crowned and mantled coats of arms displayed side by side in the center of the field: to the left, the episcopal arms of the Bishopric of Konstanz surmounted by a bishop's mitre with lappets; to the right, the quartered dynastic arms of Württemberg surmounted by a ducal crown, the two shields joined at the base by ornate scrollwork and tied at the top by a ribbon bow. The circular Latin legend surrounding the design reads: EBERH:LUDO:DUX WURT.&TEC MARQ:RUDOLF:EPISC:CONST, naming Duke Eberhard Louis of Württemberg and Bishop Marquard Rudolf of Konstanz as joint issuing authorities. The coin is struck within a finely milled border.
