Obverse description Draped bust of Clemens Wenceslaus of Saxony, Archbishop-Elector of Trier, facing left, wearing ecclesiastical vestments including a pectoral cross; his hair is elaborately curled in the late Baroque fashion. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine engraving detail to the drapery and lace collar. A continuous Latin legend encircles the effigy, filling the entire periphery of the field.

Reverse description Elaborately quartered electoral coat of arms of Clemens Wenceslaus, surmounted by an elector's princely crown, with a crossed sword and crozier placed saltire-wise behind the shield, and an eight-pointed Order cross pendant below. The complex arms incorporate the heraldic devices of Trier, Saxony, Poland, and Lithuania. A partial legend appears in the upper field, and the fineness statement and date are inscribed in the lower exergual area.
