| Obverse description | Ornate quartered shield of arms displaying the manifold heraldic bearings of the County of Stolberg, surmounted by three elaborately mantled and crested helmets. The entire armorial composition is rendered in finely detailed baroque style. The surrounding legend, inscribed in Gothic blackletter characters, reads the full titulature of Count Christoph Ludwig, with the date expressed in Roman numerals (MDCC) at the conclusion of the inscription. |
