| Beschrijving voorzijde | A stag passant to the left dominates the central field, its body rendered in fine detail with prominent antlers. The stag stands before a tall column or cross surmounted by a crown, atop a pedestal bearing the letter 'S', symbolizing the Stolberg house. The date MDCIIC appears in the exergue below the stag. The circular Latin legend, divided into two registers, identifies the joint ruling counts and bears the fraternal motto CONCORDIA FRATRVM, all within a beaded border. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Stolberg-Stolberg operated as a jointly ruled county under the terms of the 1706 partition agreement, which divided Stolberg territories among multiple comital lines while requiring certain issues to bear the names of co-rulers — hence the paired authority of Christof Frederick and Jost Christian on this thaler. The arrangement was administratively cumbersome and politically fragile, and the line died out in the male descent within a generation of this strike.
Davenport's attribution under GT II#2803 places this firmly within the German territorial thaler sequence, a category notorious for thin surviving populations given the small economic scale of the issuing county.
