Beschrijving voorzijde Central field displays the elaborately quartered arms of Anhalt, comprising multiple heraldic divisions including the eagle and bear devices associated with the Ascanian princes, surmounted by a crowned helmet with ornate mantling and crest. The shield is rendered in fine relief typical of early seventeenth-century German hammered coinage. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the armorial composition, naming the five reigning princes of Anhalt. The overall design reflects the joint rule of the Anhalt lines and is executed in the high baroque heraldic style common to contemporary Rhenish and Saxon thalers.
Schrift voorzijde Latin

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse features the Imperial double-headed eagle displayed, with spread wings, each head crowned and the whole surmounted by an Imperial crown. At the centre of the eagle's breast is an orb bearing the denomination numeral '24' (indicating the 24-Kreuzer Kipper valuation standard), within a circular shield. The date 1623 appears in the upper field between the eagle's heads, and the mintmaster's initials are present in the lower field. The surrounding legend in Latin proclaims the Anhalt princes' titles as Arch-Marshals of the Holy Roman Empire and Dukes of Saxony.
