Reverse description The reverse bears an eight-line Latin funerary inscription occupying the central field, recording the Margrave's birth at Cologne on the Swabian River on 30 January 1581, his death at Bayreuth on 30 May 1655, his reign of 52 years, and his age of 74 years and 4 months. The inscription is enclosed by a continuous Latin titulary legend running around the entire periphery of the coin. The date 1655 appears embedded within the sixth line of the central inscription.
