Obverse description Facing busts of Margrave Charles William Frederick of Brandenburg-Ansbach and his bride Frederica Louisa, Princess of Prussia, shown in high relief and facing one another in profile toward the center of the coin. The Margrave's bare-headed, long-curled bust appears at left, the Princess's elegantly coiffed bust at right. A Latin legend encircles the upper portion of the field within a beaded border, identifying both figures by title and name. A two-line inscription in the lower exergue records the celebration of the sacred nuptials at Berlin in the Roman numeral year CIOIOCCXXVIIII (1729), with the die number V below.
