| Obverse description | Large laureate bare bust of Emperor Charles VI facing right, with long flowing curled hair cascading over the shoulder, rendered in high relief in the Baroque style. The portrait is bold and deeply struck, occupying the greater part of the field. The Latin legend begins at approximately 1 o'clock and reads continuously around the periphery, separated by pellet stops. The coin is bordered by a fine beaded inner rim. |

A crowned composite heraldic shield is affixed to the breast of the eagle, incorporating the multiple quarterings of the Habsburg dominions and encircled by the collar and fleece pendant of the Order of the Golden Fleece. The Latin legend runs continuously around the periphery, incorporating the date 1720. No mintmark appears on this die. |
