Obverse description Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Charles VI facing right, the lower edge of the bust extending to the rim of the coin. The Latin legend, reading CAROL VI D G R I S A GE HI HU BO REX, commences at 12 o'clock and is divided by the bust; no inner circle is present. The portrait is rendered in a formal Baroque style characteristic of early eighteenth-century Habsburg coinage.
