正面描述 The elaborate quartered arms of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel occupy the centre of the field, surmounted by a large ducal crown. The escutcheon displays multiple heraldic quarterings including lions, a horse, and other dynastic charges. Two standing wildmen (Wilde Männer), each wreathed in foliage and holding a staff, serve as supporters flanking the shield on either side. The peripheral legend is divided across the field by the supporters, reading D • G • CAROLVS DVX BRVNSVIC LVNEB with the date 1752 appearing to the right. The composition is rendered in high relief in the baroque tradition characteristic of German territorial coinage of the mid-eighteenth century.

背面描述 A detailed panoramic view of a mining landscape dominates the field, depicting a mine entrance (adit portal) set into a forested hillside, with figures and ore wagons in the foreground and deer visible to the lower left. Radiating sunbeams burst through clouds in the upper portion of the scene, with a crescent moon visible and alchemical planetary symbols (Venus and Saturn) flanking the central motif. The circular legend along the upper periphery reads DIE ERDE IST VOLL DER GVTE DES HERRN. Below the scene, a four-line German inscription in the exergue records the name and productive commencement date of the mine. The mintmaster's initials I.B.H. appear at the very base, and the entire composition exemplifies the celebrated Ausbeute (mining dividend) thaler tradition of the Harz region.
