The shields within the cartouche bear the heraldic charges of the see, rendered in finely engraved detail consistent with early seventeenth-century German die-cutting. The surrounding Latin legend EPISCOPVS VVRATISLAVIENSIS identifies the issuing authority, with the date 1632 appearing in the lower field of the design.
