Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Duke Charles Eugene of Württemberg, depicted in elaborate court dress with a lace jabot and decorated mantle, his hair dressed in the late Baroque fashion with a powdered queue. The effigy fills the centre of the field with considerable sculptural relief. A small mintmaster's or engraver's mark appears at the base of the bust. The circular Latin legend reads CAROLVS D: G: DVX WURT: & TEC, divided around the upper field, and the coin is bordered by a fine toothed inner rim.
