Obverse description Accolated busts of Charles Albert of Bavaria and Charles Philip of the Palatinate, both armored and draped, facing right, their effigies rendered in high relief with long flowing wigs in the baroque style. The foreground bust displays elaborate armor with decorative shoulder pauldron, while the engraver's initials F.A.S. appear on the truncation below. A toothed border frames the circumferential Latin legend reading D: G: CAR: ALB: & CAR: PHIL: S: R: I: ELECTORES EIUSQ: FAS, identifying both princes as Electors of the Holy Roman Empire.
