| 背面描述 | The reverse depicts a rocky outcrop rising from turbulent waters, upon which rests an open Bible inscribed BIBLIA, symbolizing the enduring foundation of Scripture amid the trials of the world. Above the rock, a radiant All-Seeing Eye within a triangle emanates rays of divine light, a prominent Protestant emblem representing divine providence and the light of the Gospel. The circular legend DOMINE ! CONSERVA NOBIS LUMEN EVANGELII — 'O Lord, preserve for us the light of the Gospel' — runs along the entire periphery within a beaded border. The composition is bold and deeply struck, combining Baroque allegorical imagery with direct Reformed theological symbolism. The design is attributed to engraver Johann Jacob Fechter and is characteristic of the commemorative thaler coinage issued for the bicentenary of the Reformation. |
