Obverse description Armored bust of Duke August the Younger facing right, wearing a capped helmet, with a prominent beard and mustache, clad in elaborately engraved plate armor with a ruffled collar visible beneath. The effigy is rendered in high relief in a bold, naturalistic baroque style. Surrounding the bust is a wreath of oak and laurel branches, interspersed with cartouches bearing the ruler's titles in Gothic script.

Reverse description Elaborate crowned and helmeted coat of arms of the Duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, quartered and displayed in baroque style with rich mantling and multiple crests above, including those of Brunswick, Lüneburg, and associated territories. The shield is supported by ornate foliate scrollwork and flanked by additional heraldic devices. A continuous wreath of oak leaves and acorns frames the entire composition, with the date divided and integrated among the foliate ornaments in the border.
