Beschrijving voorzijde Central shield bearing the arms of Montfort — a stylized gateway or tower device on a plain field — displayed within an ornate cartouche with scrollwork. Above the shield rises a crested helm surmounted by a crowned orb, flanked on either side by mantling that falls elegantly to the lower field. Two flags or standards are positioned at the upper flanks of the helm. The date appears divided within the circumferential Latin legend, which reads around the coin from upper left through the right field.

Beschrijving keerzijde A crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed in the centre of the field, its two heads facing outward and surmounted by a single imperial crown. An imperial orb is borne on the eagle's breast. The entire device is encircled by a Latin legend naming Emperor Leopold I with his imperial titles, punctuated by fleurs-de-lis and cross ornaments. The composition is executed in the bold baroque engraving style typical of late seventeenth-century Holy Roman Empire coinage.
