| Reverse description | Spread imperial double-headed eagle displayed in the field, each head facing outward and surmounted by a single large crown above both heads. On the eagle's breast is a small orb or shield. The wings are fully spread, rendered with detailed feathering in the hammered style typical of early seventeenth-century German coinage. The circumferential Latin legend, separated by fleur-de-lis stops, names Emperor Matthias and runs between a beaded inner circle and the coin's rim. |
