Additional information

Schwarzburg's joint-rule thalers of this period reflect the county's persistent adherence to the Gesamthaus principle — the practice of keeping territorial governance formally shared among all male heirs rather than partitioning the land. By 1601, five counts simultaneously held sovereign status over a territory that could have fit inside a modest Thuringian estate. The administrative absurdity was real; so was the political logic, as division would have stripped each branch of imperial standing.

Davenport ST#7674 is among the more complex attributions in the Schwarzburg series, with minor die variations appearing across the five-year emission window.
