| Obverse description | Crowned quartered arms of Transylvania set within an ornate shield occupying the central field, featuring the Transylvanian eagle and sun in the upper quarters and the seven castles of Saxony below, all flanked by decorative scrollwork. A rosette ornament appears at the top of the coin between the shield and the encircling beaded border. The circumferential Latin legend reads around the periphery, identifying the issuing prince. The shield's crown is rendered in fine detail above the escutcheon. |
