Surrounding the inner circle, a continuous outer legend reads 'MONETA AUREA MEGAPOL' (Golden coin of Mecklenburg), with a small rosette serving as a stop between the beginning and end of the legend. The fields are plain and the lettering is bold and well-struck in keeping with the high-relief style typical of German Baroque gold coinage. |
