| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black on cream paper with a typeset and letterpress design. The central text reads EIN THALER in large bold Gothic display type, beneath which the denomination equivalence IM VIERZEHN THALER-FUSS is stated. The header carries the issuer name Schlesw: Holst: Kassen-Schein flanking a central crowned coat of arms vignette, with decorative foliate corner ornaments and the denomination 2½ MARK COURANT repeated along the top and bottom borders. The lower portion contains two signature panels for the Delegirte der Regierung and Ständische Commissarien, each bearing handwritten manuscript signatures, with the issuing authority and legal basis stated in a line referencing the law of 31 July 1848. |
