| Reverse description | The reverse is printed in black on the same cream paper stock with a letterpress layout divided into distinct panels. The central panel carries the denomination 2½ MARK in an ornate cartouche, beneath the full issuer title SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEINISCH COURANT in bold type, followed by manuscript Folio and No. entries and a handwritten registration signature under the Eingetragen line. The four corner panels repeat the legend Ein Thaler im 14 Thlr.-F. and the side columns repeat 40 Schillinge S. H. Cour., while the top and bottom borders are filled with repeated lines of the legal validity text referencing the law of 31 July 1848. |
