Reverse description The reverse presents a wreath of oak branches framing the central field, tied at the base with two crossed rifles rendered in fine relief, symbolic of the marksmanship festival. An Iron Cross surmounts the wreath at the apex. Within the wreath, a five-line Latin-script inscription reads ZWEITES DEUTSCHES BUNDES- SCHIESSEN IN BREMEN 1865, commemorating the Second German Federal Shooting Festival held in Bremen. The mintmark B, for the Hanover Mint, appears in the exergue below the crossed rifles within the beaded border.
