Obverse description Central shield bearing the arms of Mühlhausen — a displayed eagle — set within elaborate Baroque cartouche with foliate scrollwork supporters. The shield is surmounted by a crowned helm topped by two wings decorated with horizontal bars and heart-shaped charges. The circular legend surrounding the composition reads the denomination and issuer, with the date 1767 appearing at the left of the field. The overall design is rendered in high relief with finely detailed engraving characteristic of late 18th-century German civic coinage.
