The portrait fills the majority of the field, with the engraver's signature G. F. LOOS visible in small letters at the base of the truncation. The circumscribed Latin legend FRANCISCUS D:G:ROM:IMP:SEMP:AVG· runs around the periphery, identifying the emperor by name and title. |
