| Reverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Holy Roman Emperor Francis I, wearing elaborately engraved armor with ornamental pauldrons and a richly decorated imperial mantle, his long curled wig rendered in fine Baroque style. The portrait fills the majority of the field, with the engraver's signature G. F. LOOS visible in small letters at the base of the truncation. The circumscribed Latin legend FRANCISCUS D:G:ROM:IMP:SEMP:AVG· runs around the periphery, identifying the emperor by name and title. |
