The portrait is finely detailed, with the laurel wreath prominent atop the curled hair. The die-cutter's mark C. D. ŒXL. appears in the lower left field near the bust truncation. The circumferential legend FRANCISCUS I D G ROM IMP SEMP AUG C. D. ŒXL. runs along the border, giving the emperor's full titulature. |
