| 背面描述 | Imperial double-headed eagle displayed with spread wings, each head crowned individually and surmounted by a large imperial crown above. The eagle's breast bears an orb charged with a cross. The date 1736 is divided by the eagle's talons in the lower field, with the mint officials' initials UA-W flanking the date. A circular legend surrounds the entire design reading CAROLVS VI D G ROM IMP S A GER HIB B REX. |

Hildesheim's civic coinage of this period reflects the city's peculiar dual status — simultaneously a free imperial city and continuously pressured by the surrounding Prince-Bishopric of Hildesheim, which finally absorbed it in 1803. The city maintained its minting rights jealously, and the .2 variety distinction in KM#260 points to a die revision mid-production, likely reflecting a change in the contracted die-cutter rather than any administrative shift.
