Obverse description Displayed eagle with head turned to the left, wings fully spread and elaborately detailed, standing over foliate and scroll ornaments at the base; mintmaster initials I·I to the left and H to the right of the eagle in the field. The circular Latin legend reads around the periphery, and a horizontal line separates the lower field, within which a two-line inscription in the exergue references the Peace of 1717. The design is rendered in the high-relief baroque style characteristic of early eighteenth-century German municipal coinage.
