| Beschrijving voorzijde | A seated allegorical female figure representing the City of Nuremberg occupies the central field, draped in classical robes and holding a palm frond in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. She is flanked by two ornate heraldic shields bearing the Nuremberg eagle, with a larger central shield also displaying the imperial eagle beneath her. The date MDCCVI appears in the exergue below the central composition, with the engraver's initials GFN inscribed beneath. The circumferential Latin legend reads MONETA NOVA REIPVB NORIBERGENSIS, encircling the entire design. The coin exhibits fine milled engraving in the high-relief Baroque style characteristic of the Nuremberg Mint under Nürnberger. |
