| Obverse description | Panoramic view of the city of Nuremberg occupying the central field, with a detailed skyline of towers, spires, and fortifications rendered in fine relief. Above the cityscape, three ornate cartouches display heraldic shields — the Nuremberg eagle at center flanked by two additional civic arms — surmounted by a small star. The circular legend MONEP·PUB· NORIB·ERG· runs along the upper periphery. In the lower portion of the field, a decorative scrollwork cartouche bears the chronogrammatic inscription VIVIDA PAX CHRISTI SERVETNOS TEMPORE TRISTI, with the elevated letters encoding the date 1631. |
