Obverse description Central field depicts a winged putto or angel figure standing facing, flanked by two ornate heraldic shields: the dexter shield bearing the Nuremberg imperial eagle and the sinister shield displaying the Nuremberg city arms (a diagonal stripe). Above the angel, a crowned cartouche displays the imperial eagle of Nuremberg. Two additional foliate branches flank the composition symmetrically. The date 1628 appears in the lower exergual area beneath the central figure. The circular legend reads MONETA NOVA REIP NVRNBERGENSIS, with the word ARGENTEA also present in the inscription.
