Obverse description Central field occupied by the quartered arms of Breslau within a shield: upper-left quarter displays a rampant lion to sinister, upper-right shows a Silesian eagle with crescent, lower-left bears a large Gothic letter W, and lower-right features a helmeted bust facing forward within a roundel at the shield's centre. The date appears in the upper field above the shield, within the inner circle. A Latin legend in Gothic lettering runs continuously around the periphery between two beaded borders, reading MONETA ARGENTEA WRATISLAVIENSIS with the date. The overall composition reflects the robust heraldic style characteristic of mid-sixteenth-century Central European municipal coinage.
