The eagle rests on a wavy, scroll-like base typical of South German Renaissance die-cutting. The entire central device is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend, separated by cross and star stops, reads: + MONETA * NO * FRIBVRG * IN * BRISGAV * 15 43, identifying this as a new coin of Freiburg in the Breisgau. |
