| Obverse description | Draped bust of Pope Urban VIII facing right, wearing papal vestments including a richly ornamented cope and a zucchetto, rendered in high relief with fine detailing on the drapery. The pontifical legend encircles the bust, reading VRBANVS·VIII·PONT·MAX·, with the regnal year AN·XIIII appearing in the lower exergue. A beaded inner border frames the design, consistent with the hammered coinage of the Roman mint under the Barberini pontificate. |
