Reverse description The Virgin Mary stands facing, nimbed and crowned, her arms slightly extended, set within a large radiant mandorla of alternating long and short rays. She stands upon a crescent moon, her robes rendered in flowing drapery. A papal coat of arms divides the word ROMA in the lower field. The encircling legend SVB TVVM PRAESID· is separated from ROMA by the heraldic device, all contained within a rope-twist inner border and outer beaded rim.
