| Obverse description | Draped bust of Saint Quirinus, patron and protector of Correggio, facing right, depicted in episcopal vestments with an ornate collar, enclosed within a beaded inner border. The legend surrounding the effigy reads DIVV. QVIRIN. EPS. PROTECTOR. COR., identifying the saint as Bishop and Protector of Correggio. A small floral rosette serves as a divider in the legend at the top of the field. The portrait is rendered in the late Italian Renaissance hammered style, with fine detail on the drapery. |
