| Beschrijving keerzijde | Saint Constance, the patron saint of Saluzzo, depicted as a fully armored equestrian figure riding to the right, holding a vessillo (heraldic banner or standard) in his raised right hand. The horse is shown in a dynamic striding pose, rendered in the bold relief characteristic of hammered Italian Renaissance coinage. A beaded inner border frames the scene, with the saint's name contained in the surrounding circular Latin legend. The overall style is vigorous and expressive, consistent with north Italian die-cutting of the early sixteenth century. |
