| Opis rewersu | Enthroned full-length figure of Saint Peter facing front, bearded and nimbed, draped in flowing robes in the Renaissance manner. The saint raises his right hand in benediction while his left hand holds the keys of heaven, the principal attribute of the first Apostle. The throne is ornately rendered with scrolled armrests. The encircling Latin legend S·PETRVS·APOSTOLVS·ROMA runs along the periphery, with the mint name ROMA appearing in the lower exergual area divided by a small cross, and a mint mark visible below. |
