| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse features a full-length standing figure of the Virgin Mary, crowned and nimbed, set within a radiant mandorla formed by rays of light and surrounded by a scattering of stars. The Virgin stands upon a crescent moon above a mound of clouds, her hands folded in prayer, draped in flowing robes rendered with fine linear detailing. A small papal shield appears in the lower right field. The encircling legend SVB TVVM PRAESIDIVM· runs around the periphery between an inner circle and the outer beaded border, invoking Marian protection in the tradition of Counter-Reformation papal iconography. |
