| 表面の説明 | The papal coat of arms of Clement XI occupies the central field, featuring a crowned shield with a six-pointed star, flanked by elaborate baroque scrollwork and foliate ornaments. Above the shield, the papal tiara is displayed between the crossed keys of Saint Peter, rendered in fine relief. Two rampant lions serve as supporters at the base of the achievement. The entire composition is enclosed within a beaded inner border, with the circumferential legend running between the inner and the milled outer border. The engraving is characteristic of the refined Roman baroque die-cutting tradition of the early eighteenth century. |
