| Obverse description | Central field displays the papal coat of arms of Clement VIII within an ornate oval cartouche, surmounted by the papal tiara and crossed keys. The shield bears the Aldobrandini family heraldic charges — six roundels arranged in orle with a bend — rendered in finely engraved relief. Elaborate foliate mantling flanks the shield on either side. The circumferential legend in Latin reads CLEM VIII PONT MAX, identifying the issuing pontiff as Clement VIII, Supreme Pontiff. |
