| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborate papal coat of arms of Benedict XIII, displayed on a baroque cartouche with ornate foliate scrollwork flanking both sides. The shield is quartered, bearing the Orsini family arms — diagonal bands in the lower left and a tower in the lower right — surmounted by a papal tiara with crossed keys above. The circular legend reads BENEDICTVS XIII P M A I, distributed around the periphery in Latin capital letters, with the coin's milled edge border clearly visible. |
