| Obverse description | The heraldic arms of Cardinal Annibale Albani displayed centrally within an ornate cartouche, surmounted by the papal umbrella (umbraculum or conopaeum) with crossed keys of Saint Peter, symbolising the authority of the Camerlengo during the vacancy of the Holy See. Foliate decorative mantling flanks the shield on either side. The circular legend reads SEDE·VACANTE·MDCCXXX, distributed around the periphery of the coin in Roman letters. |
