| Obverse description | Bare-headed draped bust of Duke Leopold I facing right, with long flowing curled wig rendered in fine detail, in the late Baroque portrait style typical of early 18th-century Lorraine coinage. A small decorative star or mint mark appears in the lower field beneath the truncation. The circular legend surrounds the effigy, separated from the toothed border by a raised rim. |
